Room 5 Favourite Sports By Oh s'mar

Today I gathered a investigation in room 5 and it is what is there favourite sport. Most people like soccer because soccer is a fun game that you wont get injured cause you have pads that wont heart your legs. The least popular sport was baseball because people might miss the ball and then its strike 3 then there out. Rugby and Baseball are the same because cricket you get to throw the ball and get them out or you get to get runs when you hit it.

My Tamaki River Walk By Oh s'mar

Rotary Walkway
Last Tuesday the seniors of Panmure Bridge School went on the the Tamaki river walk. It was sunny in the morning and windy. It was a long tremendous walk, everyone was exhausted. First we went to Pakuranga,  I thought we would start on the left side but we started on the other side instead. The people who took photo’s did a good job. After we went on the bridge, first some people were scared because it was their first time across the bridge. Once we had past the bridge we saw this obstacle course. Room 8 and room 5 went on the course. Everyone was excited to go on the course. We carried on walking until we got to the skate park.

We had morning tea at the skate park and we got 5 mins to play. We carried on walking, the people who had the cameras had to change and give others a turn. I was one of the people that got to hold the camera. I took  photos of the water, birds, bridges and many more things. After that we carried on walking until we had a 10 minute break. We had to pair up with the room 8 children and look after them until we got to the end of our walk. We had walked about 5.5 km by the time we stopped for lunch. Everyone was so excited. I went to the slides with Patrick it was awesome because it was a big tall slide that went very fast. After that it started to pour down with rain everyone was disappointed and sad. We were waiting for our bus. I saw a cloud that look like a big grey dragon. The sun came up and everyone rushed to the slides and the playground to have one quick last play.

The bus came and we were all sad that we had to go back to school and do work. Once we got on the bus people were sleeping we were all so tired and happy that we had walked for about 5 hours. When we got back to school we had a nice cold ice block, it was delicious. We all went back to our classes and wrote about our day. It was a fun day.
The end.

My Report On Volcanoes By Oh s'mar

Firstly: The earth has Eight tectonic plates under the ground and when they move and rub together it makes an earthquake and eruptions and that is very dangerous but mostly when one get on top of another. More than 80% of the earth's surface comes from volcanoes. Innumerable (It means very numerous)  volcanic eruptions formed the sea.  There are more than 500 active volcanoes in the world. More than half of these volcanoes are part of the Ring of fire a region that encircles the Pacific Ocean.

Secondly: In an eruption, gases and rock shoot up through the opening and spill over or fill the air with lava parts and pieces . Eruptions can cause lava flows, hot ash flows, mudslides, avalanches, falling ash and floods. The Most Deadly eruptions have occurred in indonesia with tens of thousands of lives lost to starvation and a tsunami as a result of the eruption, ash flows, and mudflows. A volcano is A mountain that opens downward to a pool of molten rock below the surface of the earth, when pressure builds up, eruptions occur.

Thirdly: In the North Island once had trees covering it but they were destroyed by one of New Zealand's big eruption and then it buried lake Taupo. Mount Ruapehu, active volcano and highest peak 9,176 feet 2,797 ml on North Island, New Zealand, in Tongariro National Park. Mount Ruapehu is situated on the Taupo Plateau, which rises 2,000 to 3,000 feet about 600 to 900 m above sea level. Also Mount Wellington is a 135 metre volcanic peak located in the Auckland volcanic field of Auckland, New Zealand. It is the youngest on shore volcano of the Auckland volcanic field, having been formed by an eruption around 10,000 years ago. It is the largest of Auckland's scoria cones(Scoria cones means there are veins on the volcano that are filed with magama). Mt Wellington is not expected to erupt again.

In Conclusion: The earth has eight tectonic plates under the ground and when they move and rub together it makes an earthquake and eruptions and that is very dangerous but mostly when one get on top of another, In an eruption, gases and rock shoot up through the opening and spill over or fill the air with lava fragments and also Eruptions can cause lava flows, hot ash flows, mudslides, avalanches, falling ash and floods, Mount Ruapehu, active volcano and highest peak 9,176 feet 2,797 ml on North Island, New Zealand, in Tongariro National Park.

My Time at the Fencibles Game By Oh s'mar

On Saturday the Fencibles played a game and I was in it I was midfield. We Could only put 11 players on a game. I was in so we started not too many people. So when I get the ball I kicked the ball all the way to my friend and then he shoots but he missed and the we played for 45 minutes each half. Then when I had the ball I dribbled through everyone and then passed to my friend my friend shot and then goal and then my team said YAY. I got the ball again I kicked it but it was not a really good kick. So it was an out and then they tried in but luckily he didn’t trough it properly so the ref said Fencibles ball so my friend passed to me and then I passed to my friend and then he was off but it was an off side and the they kicked the ball and the the ball hit my friends head and he was crying he had a bruise. He was one of our best defenders. I got the ball again passed to my friend and the he passed back and the I did the rainbow over 2 off there players then took a shot and you wanna know what happen I got a goal YAY! the half time. We were leading 2 to nuffin hahaha. Then they kicked off and then one of the players step all my players and then scored a goal and my friend nobody cares first goal and I was like omg my friend is starting to get a little crazy. So then I had the ball again and I had the ball so many times and the I crossed it to my friend my friend was like this my goal is gonna be epic and then when he headed it it was an epic fail. Everybody was laughing even one off my teammates found it too funny and the he did a we we in his pants and then he went home. Then I kicked the ball to my keeper and then he kicked far then it was an out the had the ball they trough the ball and then I accidently slide tackled someone OPPS!! but luck no cards so I sub'd for someone and then the had the ball one of team player kicked and then got the goal because the goal keeper wasn't concentrating so that was 2 to 2. and then 1 minute left my team put all the effort and the got a goal a funny goal the goalkeeper accidently tripped up and the my friend did a little header and then we scored 10 seconds they put me on I got the ball licked and then full time YAY!! we won. Then the next day my back was so sore that i could not even feel it.
